scooter time!

As today is the last day I will be scooting around for a while I thought I'd leave a tribute to my scooter. Remembering all the good things about it. Besides the wind in my hair there are a lot of benefits.
1. The obvious is that I am saving a ton of money by not having a car.
2. When people cut you off they feel really bad and try to apologize through the window. WIth motorcycles I don't think people feel so bad... I think they feel that it would be one less Hell's Angel in the world.
3. I can park wherever I want to. Sidewalks, bike racks, next to the door, or in any parking spot. When I park in the parking space it looks like no one is there and you attempt to park there and there I am like a ninja.
4. Police don't care at all about me. I can't go faster than 40, maybe 45 mph. It's like I'm invisible. For instance when I'm sitting at a light in front of a cop, he doesn't notice that my registration expired in '07.
5. I can exact all my revenge on all the people who drove slow in front of me when I had a car. Now it's my turn to be in front of you and be the slow one. Take that.
6. Mostly, it provides entertainment for anyone else on the road while I rock out to my ipod. Now that the weather's nice you can even hear me sing "Party in the USA." Yeah I said that. I drive a scooter and listen to Miley Cyrus, I obviously am not big into what other people think.

My conclusion is that I have super powers when I ride my scooter. I'm invisible and ninja. Guess I have to give up these powers for a few months.

the heat is on

I am really feeling the heat now that I have a blog. Especially now that I have people who are following me and may actually read this. I mean it should be the right blend of wit, intelligence, and originality. That is something that can't be forced, it should come naturally. It should be where people want to come back and read more. Who knows I could be the next blogger turned author/movie. I can't just write about waking up and blogging, I learned that by reading FB statuses. No one really wants the play by play of your life. Mine would get old real quick... Woke up, watched a movie, read a book, went to a cafe got on the Internet, watched an old episode of America's Next Top Model (or Celebrity Apprentice), came home went to bed. That's essentially what unemployment looks like. Don't be jealous I know you want to live this life.

I may succumb to the pressure and explode leaving bits and pieces of me all over the room like Dr. Arntz. So for now you are left reading about my fears of writing the wrong thing in this blog while I listen to the Romeo and Juliet soundtrack. (It never gets old) and keep packing and repacking my life until I eventually get on a jet plane and get the heck out of the 505.

I'm in the blog clique now!

I decided that if I am ever to be in the Donald Miller-Jonathan Acuff clique then I needed to have a blog. Isn't that what all the cool kid writers are doing. Unlike them they are published and for now this is about as close as I come. I mean I have all the books in my head and they sound great there, it's just putting it on paper that slows me down.

The ultimate revelation today was that if anyone pisses me off I can exact my revenge in a book. So to all my friends and not friends don't get on my bad side or you never know what you may end up looking like in my book.

Rainbows and gumdrops,
Danielle
